Why Would Anyone Buy an Xbox Series X|S?

A lot of talk has been about Xbox Series X/S and the PlayStation 5 with the latter being in high demand, but I wanted to make a video discussing why many would and have choosen the Xbox brand if they needed to make a console buying decision. The Xbox Series X has been sold out since it launched making it an already hot ticket item. The Xbox Series S is also a surprising version that many love as the barrier to entry is so low and availability is somewhat better than the X console. Here are my reasons to buy an Xbox Series X/S console.

My Xbox Series X has every game from every console/handheld I’ve ever owned, plus my Xbox collection of games. It’s my favorite console of all-time already.

You forgot a lot:
1- download what you want and don’t worry about the version.
2- dont worry about the saves
3- if you have a pc you check #2
4- Nothing is $70 from M$, you don’t pay for upgrades.
5- Much better party system.
6- much better UI
In short much smoother experience.

I bought a Series X for two major reasons...

1) Game Pass. I’ve played dozens of games on the XSX now and I haven’t spent a dime on any of them because of Game Pass and Microsoft Rewards. Unless one of those programs changes significantly, then I can continue playing Game Pass for *FREE* for the entire life of the console. That’s a quality proposition that just can’t be ignored.
2) All the recent acquisitions that MS has made. Hellblade was my favorite game of the previous generation so knowing that Hellblade 2 was going to be an Xbox exclusive was something I couldn’t ignore. Add Bethesda, Double Fine, id, Arkane, Machine Games, Obsidian, etc - and MS now owns half of my favorite franchises.

I’ve also got a PS5 though because I want to play Last of Us, Ghost of Tsushima, God of War, Spider-Man, and others as well.

Because sometimes I just want to play comfortably on my room or living room? Sometimes I don’t want to be gaming in front on my monitor, especially over long sessions when it gets uncomfortable. Plus, for what it is, the XSS/XSX are beastly consoles.

Edit: Quick resume, FPS boost and BC just makes it a less hassle mini PC, which for the majority of people who aren’t into PC gaming is a major plus.

I'm new to Xbox. Got a Series S last month, after signing up to Game pass PC in March 2020 lockdown . I only tried it because I needed to get a powerful laptop to work from home. I absolutely love it. Played Halo for the first time ever in today's flight. I really liked it.

When the Gears of War developers tested the performance of the Series X, they found that it had similar performance to an RTX 2080 Super on Gears 5. The console is a bargain for $500 USD, regardless of whether people like Xbox or not.

I mostly play on PC, but always had PlayStation consoles for the exclusives. Series S is my first Xbox. There's a few reasons why switched.
-I don't agree with the direction PlayStation is heading (how the Vita was handled, censorship, lack of support for legacy games, sidelining Japanese devs, push for $70 games, etc)
-I didn't really enjoy the PS4's exclusives all that much compared to past PS consoles. Too much focus on big Western blockbusters.
-Wanted something for couch play.
-PC hardware is impossible to find right now at a reasonable price, and I felt like something different.
-Backwards compatibility. While the S is digital only, I can buy a ton of old favourites. And they run locally instead of streaming.
-Game Pass gives me access to a big collection of games to keep me occupied. And that library can be accessed on PC as well. Discovered a lot of games I enjoyed that I probably would never have looked at otherwise.
-Dev mode makes it a really powerful emulation box.
-It was inexpensive. You can still readily find a Series S for MSRP. So it lets me try out the ecosystem without breaking the bank.

I was underwhelmed with the PS4's over reliance on linear 3rd person action games. I "liked" GoW, UC4, and Horizon...but I didn't "love" them. I got an XSX after the Bethesda acquisition and I couldn't be happier!

Must really be having a hard time finding topics! I like my series X so much I actually almost bought a second one just to replace the one X I have upstairs. The one X sucks after you play on the series X for a while.

I like the plug and play aspect of any console. Not having to worry about driver updates and other configurations you need to do on PC. It just works whenever you want it to.

I prefer Xbox because Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos at 120Hz/fps (I have a supporting TV and home theatre setup); Game Pass Ultimate; Quick Resume; Smart Delivery; FPS boost; ALLM (auto low latency mode); and backwards compatibility (really important for me since this is my first console since the PS1 and I'm catching up!). Probably various other features but these are the most important to me.

I have a PS5 and it's my main console but lately I've been playing more my Series S because of all the Mass Effect games on Gamepass and because for some random reason Microsoft gave me $10 bucks and I bought Dark Souls Remastered. So... People don't be fanboys... Just enjoy your games and let other enjoy theirs on whatever brand they got.

Even if xbox didn't have gamepass im just more interested in the upcoming xbox exclusives than I am the playstation exclusives, and the fact that they are all going to be on gamepass made my decision to go from ps4 to a series x a no brainer.

I'm buying a xbox s for my boy for Christmas. The reason is I have gamepass on pc so I add the ultimate gamepass. So from christmas day he can jump straight into a huge library. I dont have to worry about what games to get for him. He can just play what he wants and I think that's nice he'll have so much to choose from
