A Detroit cop faced firing for Greektown punch—until Eastpointe gave him a badge

Why did Eastpointe's police department hire an officer that Detroit was preparing to fire? Kairy Roberts was deemed "untruthful" by DPD, but he was still given a badge in Eastpointe.

Officers should not be able to resign when under investigation. It’s ridiculous that they said there wasn’t enough evidence to bring charges when there’s multiple videos from several angles.
