Not going to lie, this video is pretty brutal.
- Hardware encoding is not ideal; it's faster but far less efficient (less quality at any given bitrate).
- Target Bitrate is the average bitrate of the video, not the minimum.
- When there's lots of fast motion you often need less bitrate since people won't be able to discern details during fast motion anyways (if you're interested in more details look up how CRF encoding works).
- Even though youtube compresses video you still want to export in as high a bitrate as you can tolerate given your storage and upload limitations. No matter what video file you upload youtube will re-encode it, and the better quality the source file the better quality the YouTube encode will be. Many youtubers even work on a 1080p timeline and then export the video at 4K; even though the source video isn't 4K in resolution youtube will detect the 4K export and allow for higher bitrates, thus higher quality.
