Jordan B. Peterson (born 12 June 1962) is a Canadian professor of psychology, clinical psychologist, YouTube personality, and author. He began to receive widespread attention in the late 2010s for his views on cultural and political issues, often described as conservative.

Born and raised in Alberta, Peterson obtained bachelor's degrees in political science and psychology from the University of Alberta and a PhD in clinical psychology from McGill University. After teaching and research at Harvard University, he returned to Canada in 1998 to permanently join the faculty of psychology at the University of Toronto. In 1999, he published his first book, Maps of Meaning: The Architecture of Belief, which became the basis for many of his subsequent lectures. The book combined information from psychology, mythology, religion, literature, philosophy, and neuroscience to analyze systems of belief and meaning.

Having a clean room can give you the feeling of organization and calmness. It can also give you a sense of accomplishment and control when you have little control over other things in your life.

Thank you Jordan Peterson.
I realized as I was cleaning my room. Every little thing I fix, fixes me as well.

I can’t concentrate being in a disorganized room. Cleaning my room helps me think clearer and is calming.

I get up everyday and make My bed clean up the room I've found on not so good days at least at The end I can go to My room and it's clean and I know I accomplished something good no matter how bad the day was 😊🦋

When I'm trying to "organize my life" I always start with my room. Maybe this is why.

Practice good habits on the smaller scale and they're much more likely to translate to bigger things and benefit you and everyone around you.

My mother never told me that, so I absolutely love keeping my room neat and clean and make my bed every morning. It's a special space for me.

“lazy habit & blindness” 100% true. sometimes i’ll be a bit more productive in my life & look around wondering when i let my room get so messy. i deal with depression & it 100% blinds you to your surroundings. glad to hear it explained in words

I always feel great to go re-order the bedroom, living room & kitchen. My mind is clearer, less clutter, no expired unused thing, many donations of unused stuff. Feeling lighter, brighter, clearer, & so satisfied.

My life is sorted because I did this. My chaos from my room and my mind is going.

I love to clean my room. But i know im going through an extended period of depression when my room is unorganized. Funny how I'm berated for it by sometimes someone who never knew me enough. Those who do, is enough for me.

So many times in my life I have heard the spoken rationale of: "I am doing the best I can!" The truth is you can only DO as well as your habits will allow you to. My saying on this subject. I f you can improve your habits, you can improve your level of "best". That means there is ALWAYS room to grow, but without action, there is no potential.

OMG!
I've tried to explain this very thing to my daughter.
If your room is a cluttered room, so is your life.
Yes laziness is a huge depressant!
The good feeling you get after cleaning and organizing your space is better than any drug can do for you

Cleaning your room or not Cleaning your room is a reflection of what's happening outside of the room.
