We are putting together videos on how to turn wood the safe way. These videos aim to help people that want to or have recently taken up woodturning and would like to find out how the various woodturning tools are used.

In this video we look as basic safety, the lathe and some of the basic tools we use and what they are used for.

Thank you for this video at the grand age of 60 ive decided that i would like to have ago at wood turning i know you said it's best to have a one to one teaching i joined a facebook group and aked if thier is any teaching groups and someone on that group lives only 20mins drive from me is willing to show me the basics using he's lathe that's a midi pro so ive got lucky

Loving the beginners guide.... I am just starting out REAL a beginner ....how about as there is not much on YouTube about sourcing wood for free or heap for practicing...or maybe using you own found wood or tree branches 🤔
