2019 Suzuki Swift Sport 1.4 turbo + Racechip GTS acceleration 0-220. Real gain incl. dyno

Hi to all Swift users, maybe some of you decide whether to go for a Racechip GTS. Here is an answer.

GTS unit has 7 levels, basically the car was a bit laggy and stuttering on levels 6 and 7, so I moved down and ended on level 3 which works fine. Power gain starts from 3500 revs on. Car is significantly stronger on highway in higher speeds. I also measure acceleration times on higher gears, you can find the values below:

Stock values:
110kW / 5200 rpm
244 Nm / 3300 rpm

Racechip GTS values:
121 kW / 5250
259 Nm / 3900

Acceleration times:
130-180 (5th gear):
14.7 stock / 11.1 GTS

120-160 (4th gear):
8.3 stock / 6.5 GTS

Times were measured just with a phone in hand reading from speedometer, so take there some tolerance on measurements.

The gain is not as advertised (+ 11kW compared to +25kW they advertise). I was said by the Racechip support my car limits range of the settings and therefore I cannot use the higher settings where HP gain would be bigger. You can believe or not. The fact is that for my car the ideal setting is level 3 and works OK. Maybe another Swift users have different experience. I decided to keep the GTS anyway, the gain was really noticable and proved to be real on Dyno as well. Graph is attached at the end of this movie.

So this car makes 110kw as standard from the factory and not 103kw?

With the tuning it is important to use high octane fuel also. 98 ROZ or better might help here. MPS Engineering offers a good software that also offers more boost than your chip. On original hardware it delivers 24 sec from a constant 100 kph to 200 kph taken via gps (around 32 sec in original before).

I'm not convinced that an ECU tune makes sense in the 1.4T. It's rated 140 ps from the factory but makes more like 155 ps. A safe tune might give you 170 ps, but after that, you will have to do a bunch of modifications such as larger Turbo, intake, charge pipes, down pipe, exhaust, intercooler just to get to around 200 ps. Myself, I'm just keeping it stock and only upgrading the wheels, tires, and suspension.

Standard digital boost gauge looks to be showing 14psi/1 bar. It shows 19psi/1.4 bar at max which is max for standard turb/intercooler without really high air temp 110'C at the manifold therefore being pointless.

Im using "Pivot Power drive". The same problem 6.7 level is very slippery. 5 levels are optimal. I'm already up ECU tuning.

Hey there, I just ordered the race chip but the pdf instructions are a bit unclear. Do you have to remove the engine cover to install? and if so, what is needed, just a wrench? Thanks!

K&n panel airfilter + mode 7 = 125kW on mine (real dynorun on my channel) 😉
The fuel consumption is also slightly better (-0, 1L/100km).

someting wrong with this car or mapping get to a real tunner. ur boost is lower then mine stock lol iam stage 1 now and my boost meter is MAX

Do a proper tune by remapping.

You should learn to drive this car, look at the boost gauge ffs. Shift at 4500 rpm. And use the torque this car got.
