I flipped houses with my husband before he passed, and we used IKEA cabinets all the time. They are well-made, sturdy, and the soft-close feature is outstanding. Honestly, the quality is better than prefab cabinets from the big box stores. Where they fall short is the door and drawer fronts. There are, however, numerous companies online that supply door and drawer fronts. I routinely chose that option. With custom hardware they looked and functioned like high-end semi-custom but cost about the same as cheesy red oak prefab cabinets. I also strongly recommend IKEA's closet organization (PAX) system as well.

Dear Sweet Natalie! Love watching your videos as a DIYer & retired Interior Designer! Just watched your video on the Arizona house too! I have learned the hard way that the older you get (I’m 64), just because you CAN do it all, doesn’t mean you should! As I have watched you comment on your health I see myself several years ago. I have a box full of braces & splints, and cortisone is my best friend. I urge you with my love in Christ to be careful & take care of yourself. Know when to stop or pay someone else to do it! It’s very difficult to get your health back! ❤

bought ikea sofa 4 years ago. it’s the greatest. yes it’s white and i have a service dog and 2 cats ❤thinking covers wouldn’t hold up i bought another white one. still haven’t used the second. it’s still white and wonderful 😊

I am glad that I am not the only one that isn't excited about their chairs. I could find nicer chairs at Home Goods or even At Home Stores or shop online like Overstock or Wayfair. I also think they don't look sturdy enough for my fluffy + size body. 😂

I am sorry, but I strongly disagree on strandmon chair. I have it for years now, we fight for siting in it. I have dark green velvet one with foot rest as well and I love it. It is super comfortable and it looks awesome next to my Billy bookcases 😊 and after around 5 years of daily use it still looks like new.

Yes! Please do a Ikea kitchen 'stuff' video. Kitcheny bits are a favorite. I have to agree with you about most of the furniture. A couple of shelves/bookcases, a bureau or two us about it.

Thank you NataLee for the tour. Since I have moved to the country no IKEA for me but still love to see what is available. The nearest IKEA about 2.5 hrs away no chance I will drive just for browsing. Our lounge room furnished with IKEA from about 35 years ago and still going strong except the chairs are now uncomfortables. I did put extra cushion on them for now. As my Mum use to say "for this short time ahead" will do😅😊.

This was another great video. My daughter is a designer and years ago she did design work for model homes. Her warehouse guys had to put all the IKEA furniture together and they would want to run for the hills .😊
