I keep coming back to rewatch this since Jackson thinks I'm watching this way too much lolol

So proud of Jackson's performance <3 I kept telling him he would one day be on Forged in Fire, and lo and behold he's here!

Watching Blake's heat treatment, I thought for sure that it would snap in half.

Very understandable for craftsmen like me. We also have a long history of iron forging, taught directly by craftsmen from various countries that colonized us in the past, it took time because the language was not understood. By grandfather

It's bizarre, Jackson somehow looks 17 and 32 at the same time.

I hope forged and fire see this, I think having a segment where they review/judge the aesthetic of each weapon before they test it would be interesting and we as viewers can enjoy the craftsmanship of the forgers.

I wonder if Doug has ever missed the dummy and hit the barrel the dummy sits on instead??

I don't know why but it's always nice to see blacksmits using coal to heat up the steel. I'm sure there's a blacksmith here that could answer my question, but is there a difference in heating on coal vs a modern forge? It came to my mind because even though is gonna be a extremely minimal amount, some of the carbon from the coal will bind to the hot steel, making it more flexible in the process (I'm not a chemist either btw).

charlie hunnam is not only a great actor but also great at making swords…

Ah sucks to see Jackson so superficially discouraged from this one - his blade performed incredibly well, if he'd managed to avoid or correct the warp could have easily crushed the competition - should leave with head held high, eager to move to the next one.

I hate when the say they never made a sword or a blade this long... The show has been on 10 seasons, why would you go on the show if your have not praticed and prepared.

This must have been the worst episode I've watched so far, and I watched them all. I don't blame the young smiths, but the teacher, who put them up to this.

These 2 smith's imo aren't the best
