The last case, The Original Nightstalker was solved in April 2018. The suspect had gotten a new nickname as The Golden State Killer and identified as Joseph James DeAngelo. Arrested at 73 years old and later plead guilty to all murders and rapes and handed down multiple life sentences.

Firearms are great protection but a working breed guard dog is better. Dobermans have been bred to perfection for this. Training is key because they are extremely loyal, lovable, affectionate and make great family dogs. Louie here in my profile pic loves kids and auto protects without even being trained. We currently do not have kids in the house as they are grown but if he even hears a child crying on TV, he immediately perks up and tries to comfort. He sets up a protective perimeter around loved and little ones when we are outside. He visits sick kids in hospitals but scares unknowns approaching the house with a booming bark and growl.. His danger signalling to me is top notch. These victims of home invasions might have different stories if loving Dobermans were standing guard.

I just realized here, after watching a plethora of these shows on BTK, that he was apprehended on the day of my beloved dog's birth, Feb 25, 2005. Bacon 🥓 or my Bakey Bits as I lovingly called him, born on 2255 (2.25.05) came into this world when an evil man was finally getting the just consequences he escaped for so long & that of which he so desperately deserved.
I'd like to think Bacon had something to do with that 😉
My brown sugar maple flavored Bacon is in doggie Heaven now, but never far from my heart ❤️🐕
