you are right about the degree factor here i am also a student in a programming institute and am about to graduate but since i started watching your videos i figured out that the diploma/degree of some institute or college doesnt matter that much although am about to get one soon, thank that i used all my free time to work on advancing my self and keep learning cuz in these institutes and colleges they dont teach you THAT MUCH at all .

Stefan this was a very good video. I might have been harsh in my comments on your video regarding investing in equipment however that could have been due to the fact that I was brought up in a poor Irish background. On reflection I might have misunderstood the thrust of your argument. I reacted from a gut feeling. No offence was meant I just fired from the hip and sometimes that works and sometimes it doesn't . Keep up the good work!

Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Mark. These people did not get degree. But they all smart people to get into Harverd and found companies while studying. Too smart that they don't need a degree to find jobs. BTW i don't have degree and i am self taught software engineer too.
