Sadly, Peter Greens Fleetwood Mac is so overshadowed by the later Fleetwood Mac, people aren't even aware of them and that is really sad. RIP Peter Green, you certainly were a genius.

I was 15 years old in 1969 when I first heard Peter Green on Fleetwood Mac's 'Then Play On" LP. It was a life changing experience for at first it was his mastery of the guitar that moved me like no other. In later years I learned to love his voice and writting skills along with his willingness to share the stage and LP's with the band, he didn't want to be the star he wanted to be a membervof a band getting enjoyment from the triumphs of his màtes. It was Peter the man that ultimately pushed me to idolize him. Peter was a giver never trying to barter with his fellow man. His heart reached out in hopes of making the lives of others better. He in a way was my mentor never disappointing me. Green was the best white blues guitarist aided by his sadness and willingness to put his pain to music. Hè struggled to find a path that suited his take on life and at times he took the hard road but never complained. Bless you Peter for making this world a little brighter due to your willingness to participate in our lives. RIP Peter Greenbaum

I saw Peter Green in 1969. I was frozen with awe. I stood there and listen to every note that the band played. At the end of the show they said simply said goodnight. I was still in the same spot, unable to move. I knew in my young teenager heart & ears I had just witness something great. Clearly, this is still etched in my mind.
What an amazing talent!

Peter Green is my favorite guitarist a simple man that was gifted with an amazing talent as a singer, guitarist, and songwriter. He shunned fame and was afraid of what money would do to him. It is sad to think that after the amazing music he wrote that he was destitute for periods of his life.

I had the good luck to have seen Peter Green in his later years, he was fantastic then, I can't imagine how good seeing him in his early days would have been.

Out of all the blues guitarist I have been listening to for the past almost 60 years Peter Green is still one of my favorites. This video is so right on with what everything the narrator tells us. So sad that Peter went through so much turmoil after his heavy dosing of LSD after landing in Germany way back then.

Peter Green exhibits a direct connection between his heart, head, fingers and a higher power. Peters love and understanding of the Chicago and Delta Blues led to his mix of blues with rock on the "Then Play On" Album. Peter put his pain into his guitar leaving us music that has no equal. With wars and famine Peter showed us his distain of the music business. The Green God's music will always shine bright.
