Today I'm attempting to restore my carbon fiber hood on my 350z for less than $100. Will it look good after I spend a few days working on it?

Thank you so much for the overwhelming support on the first video! I could not have asked for a better opportunity to pursue making YouTube videos.

Like, comment, and don't forget to subscribe for more car stuff!

This is like watching Donut but for the average guy, you show that you can work on a car and not spend a ton of money on new parts but still get it running and looking good. Definitely inspired watching you build this up. Keep up the good work!

Your channel reminds me of what the enthusiast car forums were like back in 2005. Just real people trying to work on their cars and sharing with those of us who want to follow along. Keep up the good work.

When wet sanding its almost impossible to avoid making noticeable patterns in the finish if you use your hands, if you take a block of foam and sand with the paper on one face it can help keep the surface pressure evenly spread and improve the results.

stumbled apon the first episode a while ago, can already see mad potential in this channel. love how you've been going through the process of fixing, painting and modifying all while educating viewers on how to do it as well. 🔥

Definitely looks better than it used to. Great work on clearing the hood up, and personally, those simple hoodpins don't look too bad with the carbon fiber.

dude i guarantee you we're all in the same boat as you. The 350 would be a great platform if they all werent used and abused on the market right now so this channel is helping us all out with building our own z's

great videos!, i would recommend looking a little bit into color grading so your videos look a little better and less gray, but keep up the good work.

A tip for when youre drilling out rivets: Pulse the drill (only pull the trigger for short bursts) and use lots of force. If the rivet starts to spin its a bad sign and youll want to try and grab the backside with pliers or channel logs, If the rivet it spinning the drill isnt cutting.

The way you present the videos and editing is really good. Don't stop dude! When you finish this car do more!
Would just say do a bit of color grading, as some parts of the vid looks a bit flat. Like around 1:50. But all in all LOVE THE VIDEOS SO FAR. This channel will go far if you keep posting regularly😁

I just watched all 3 of your videos. After the first one I was surprised to find out you're a brand new channel because the quality was really great! I will say though, in your second and third video you have a lot of darker video segments. Like the beginning of this video, and the beginning of the last one, are much darker than some of the other clips. It makes it a little more difficult to watch on my phone and even one of my computer monitors (due to the screens already being low contrast/brightness), and I just wouldn't really recommend it if you are doing it on purpose. Need that contrast and brightness! Other than that I think your content is really solid. You're great at narrating throughout the videos and explaining the process/showing it. You also provide a fresh perspective for rebuilding cars; like someone who is generally knowledgeable but has little hands-on experience for certain things. The fact that you are very straightforward about that is great (I specifically like how in the last episode you said if the rattle canning doesn't work out you can just redo it later. I feel a lot of people who watch this type of content forget that it takes time/practice to build up the skill, and stuff like that is totally redoable later on). I think you'll make it far if you keep going, just be prepared for the ups and downs in viewership while you build up the channel! Don't give up, because at the end of the day you have the most important thing for YT which is the personality!

Congrats on the channel growth.
Enjoying the vids.
Just a polishing tip - if you’re going to use a rotary polisher with a foam pad, keep it flat or you’ll burn through the paint. Also, swap that glaze for a compound that has some cut. Glaze is basically makeup for paint. 👍
