it should had been the GNOME Files new file-picking video ..but lamely enough it's not <3

Actually, as far as I'm aware KDE does not do that. KDE's file picker is KFileWidget, which is part of the KIO Framework.

It's not dolphin and it couldn't be dolphin, because dolphin is not part of KDE plasma, it's part of KDE Gears, so a user might have one installed without the other.

Open source is so bad and lame, the file choosers on apple and windows all depend on Explorer and Finder for a good reason, no need to duplicate this in a toolkit. It's a huge huge task if you want to replicate stuff, but they still try.

Linux is so much not a good replacement for a desktop os.
