Update: with Kansas city lost in super bowl 59, the nfl is 0-9 in three peats

The iconic "there will be no 3 peat" with the Giants vs 49ers is rent free in my head and i wasn't even watching football 😂

What do most of these three peat failures have in common? Injuries. That is one thing you cannot control. The war of attrition of three straight years eventually takes it's toll.

That 1976 Pittsburgh stat where they only gave up 3.1 points/game in the final 9 games is just ludicrous when you really think about it.

49ers vs giants 1990 is a top 3 most underrated game in nfl history. The entire 49ers giants rivalry is underrated. You guys should highlight more of their games

We had no threepeat championship wins. But we had a 4peat championship loss though. That counts as something, right?

Youtube recommending me this after the chiefs are in the middle of getting blown out is crazy

This one will be no different. Patty Mahomo and the Swifties will cry walking off the field with green confetti falling on them. 🦅🦅

Those early 90s Cowboy & 49er games were something. The teams were stacked with stars all over the place. I recall one game where John Madden had a shot of the offense and defense lined up for a play, he basically ticked every name onscreen were all pro bowlers. This was also right in the middle of the NFC's dominance in the Super Bowl. At this period people said the real Super Bowl was the NFC Championship.

Amazing the Patriots never 3-peated. They were in the AFC Championship Game 8 years in a row (2011-2018 seasons) during the second half of their dynasty.

I think it would be a cool idea for this channel to start a series explaining offensive and defensive schemes throughout NFL history. Explain the concepts, how they became about, and how they died out….or how they are still alive

Welp, it looks like there still won't be a 3-peat

The 1990 season NFC Championship game between the Giants and 49ers was one of the most physical games I’ve ever watched.

Welp. The Chiefs became the first team in search of a 3-peat to get to the Super Bowl...only to get taken behind the woodshed in a blowout loss to the Eagles. Good luck to the next dynasty.

The 1990 49ers and 1994 Cowboys were the closest to accomplishing the 3-peat

The Cowboys were on their way to a 3-peat, but when Jerry Jones pushed Jimmy Johnson out of Dallas, it damaged the aura of that franchise forever

I like how they not only discuss the failed threepeats, but mention how the franchises have fared ever since, from Dallas's 1995 redemption to Green Bay, Pittsburgh, and Miami's decades-long title droughts (the Dolphins in particular having gone 50 years and counting without a third Lombardi Trophy)

What’s crazy is that KC is one offsides penalty (2018) & a FG in overtime (2021) from going to 6 straight Super Bowls.

Both the Broncos and 49ers misses a three-peat by also shanking a playoff game the year before. The 97 Broncos choked against the Jags and the 87 Niners choked against the Vikings. Both teams were like 13-2. That 87 49er teams also has an odd twist. Montana got hurt early in the 3rd-to-last game against the Bears. Young came in and destroyed the Bears winning 41-0. Then they beat the Falcons and Rams 35-7 and 48-0 with Young. They outscored opponents 124-7. Then Montana came back and Vikings made history.
