Can SEAL Team 6 Overpower Delta Force?

Can SEAL Team 6 Overpower Delta Force?
Delta Force and Seal Team 6 are two of the most remarkable and highly skilled special operations forces on the planet! With unparalleled levels of expertise, these exceptional teams are feared by their enemies and respected by their allies. Their ability to accomplish missions with precision and effectiveness is truly awe-inspiring. It's no surprise that they are considered the elite of the elite in the realm of special operations. The Delta Force, which is officially known as 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment Delta , is a unit of U.S. Army. While Seal team 6, officially known as Devgru, is an elite unit within the U.S. Navy Seals. Both units are under the operational command of Jsoc.

Today, we will shed light on - How are these super soldiers trained? What specialized equipment and tactics do they use? and if they were ever to go head-to-head, how would they fare against one another? There is very little publicly available information about these highly secretive units. However, we try our best to uncover the answers to these and many other questions. Delta Force is a tier one special operation force for the U.S. Army that specializes in counter-terrorism, hostage rescue, direct action, and special reconnaissance against high-value targets. The unit, headquartered in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, was inspired by the British SAS and has a similar structure. While the U.S. government does not officially acknowledge its existence, the Delta Force was established in response to the numerous terrorist attacks occurred in the 70s. Although the candidates can come from other military branches, the majority come from the 75th Ranger Regiment and Green Berets. The Delta force operators are also called "Sine Pari Warriors," which is derived from the US Army Special Operations Command's motto of "Without Equal." The origins of Devgru can be traced back to Navy Seals created by Richard Marcinko in 1980. Marcinko was the first commanding officer of the unit. At the time, there were two Seal Teams, Seal Team one and Seal Team 2. To mislead Soviet intelligence about the actual number of Seal teams, Marcinko decided to name the new unit as Seal team 6, which was exclusively formed from the existing pool of Navy Seals. In 1987, Seal team 6 was dissolved and replaced by Devgru, which is still commonly referred to as Seal team 6. Similar to Delta Force, this tier one special force unit specializes in unconventional warfare, reconnaissance, and counter-terrorism operations on land, air and specially on sea.

Dale Comstock once said, “Seals are always trying out for Delta Force, Delta Force never tries out for Seals!!”

There's a reason why delta force isn't officially recognized.

DEVGRU: “We’re the best of the best. Just ask us, we’ll tell you.”

SFOD-D: “We don’t exist. But if we did, you’d be holding our beer.”

How can anyone actually say one is better than the other, they're both some of the most highly trained units in History, why even question that, we should just be grateful that they're on our side.

You walk into a bar. How do you tell which man is the SEAL TEAM 6 member and which one is the Delta member?
The Delta member will look like a history teacher, the SEAL will walk up to you and offer to sell you his book.

I was fortunate enough to encounter both DEVGRU and Delta operators in Iraq. Being around both, only one group gave me a cold chill down my spine at the realization that if they wanted me dead, there was absolutely nothing I could do to stop it, and it wasn't DEVGRU. Delta scared the shit out of me. You could see it in their eyes; they were true hunters of men.

A softball game between the two would be interesting, but probably classified.

I was Delta and we had SF, Rangers, Seals, and Marine Raiders try out for selection. Only 10% made the cut. Lost alot of people in the first 2 weeks.

Delta. Hands down. By Sea, the Seals have the delivery advantage. After that, Delta runs the table.

Delta force will win when both (Deltor and Seal team 6) come head to head, period!
I believe these guys (delta operators) are not officially recorgnised by the Military even though they do existing.
Also, they are camourflag with the civilians in terms of how they conduct themselves;
- they don't wear iniforms or have official uniforms like seals.
- they don't look like military personels (covered in beard and hair).
Deltas operate beyond and above military laws and regulation. Even over and above the county's laws and constitutions.

THESE MAKES THEM THE MOST ELITE AND DANGEROUS FORCE.

Delta on the military side did a better job copying SAS and basically are SAS but even more secretive and with a way bigger budget. Now on top of that they allow you to specialize into anything you want with unlimited budget basically and learn from each other which just puts the ceiling of speciality and versatility above that of Devgru.

Now on top of that they work with the CIA and ISA and are the main recruitment group for the CIA SAD unlike Devgru. It’s like The Increment from SAS that get trained by MI5 and MI6.

Finally relevancy of specialty… it’s maybe bias but being specialized in maritime is not as valuable as people make it out to be and tbh is kinda a nich. Overal there is a reason why Seals try to become Delta and why the seals were so surprised they got the Lin Laden job as they thought Delta was better. The reason why they got the job wasn’t even based on combat skills anyways.

One of the best comparisons I have heard was by Jesse Boetcher, retired Unit member. "Seal Team 6 guys are like the Wisconsin Badgers and the Unit are the Green Bay Packers." Interesting comparison for sure and there is a reason the Unit can recruit from any branch of service.

The fact that we know anything about and are talking about Delta Force and Seal Team 6 kind of makes you think there might be a new more elite group out there.

DELTA has a slightly advance in ground warfare.

I’ve always thought that what set Delta apart was it’s diversity of candidates. Predominately Rangers and SF, they come from a focus of mission first. Because DEVGRU only recruits from within the SEAL community you get a less diverse pool. With DEVGRU recruiting from within their culture is highly team based over the mission. Additionally, I think they are still hurting from the Marcinco (sp?) culture but hopefully that is nearly gone. Code Over Conduct exposed the early culture that has hurt what could have been greater growth. If you haven’t read it, I highly recommend Relentless Strike which gives a great insight into origins and DNA of JSOC.

People also may not know, but delta did a training exercise to overtake the whitehouse, and was given restrictions on what they could and not do, and was successful.

I think Delta Force is king of land ops while SEAL Team 6 is king of maritime ops. It’s not really whether one is better than the other; but rather the fact that they specialise in different things.

These units are amazing men. Dad in WW2 earned 7 Bronze Stars from D-Day to Operation Varsity. I never He knew until after he passed which still blows me away. He was humble about it .

The reason why devgru doesn't recruit from other branches (I'm assuming) is because of the YEARS OF EXPERIENCE of diving devgru operators and candidates must have. I think people are forgetting what it means to be unit in the NAVY.
