I like this new concept Apologia Studios and Jeff are doing with these response videos; however, I'd like to see Jeff's response to more of what these people's views actually are. You played literally less than 60 seconds of this guy's video and even that was just the intro. I'm aware that Pastor Jeff knows A LOT but it would be nice to hear the other side speak before he responds. This video is 9 mins and we only heard from the Cosmic Skeptic for barely any time. Maybe I'm speaking out of turn and there's an extended version somewhere 🤷‍♂🤔

Speaking as a Christian, I feel like the constant appeal to logic and consistency as only a Christian worldview is a bit disingenuous, since atheists can still have reason enough to believe that logic and rationality is consistent. I just don't feel like that will mean much to an atheist convinced of a consistent universe, who would just take it as an insult rather than evidence.

Jeff you should do one or two response videos to Muslim speaker's statements in debates responding to/or with Christian speakers at Speaker's Corner in the UK. It's become quite the battleground of theological ideas and Religious argument and has garnered the presence of multiple YouTube actors both Muslim and Christian with large followings. I think the arguments made from both sides could use input and cause a great dialogue.

Wow. Folks, let's just break this down a bit. If we remove intro and outro self-promo material, the "engagement" with Genetically Cosmic Skeptic effectively begins at 0:26, and ends at 8:42. That's 8 minutes 16 seconds of content, or about 496 seconds. GMS is speaking from 0:28-0:49, 0:56-0:59, and 2:25-2:42....or about 42 seconds. So about 11% of this video is GMS speaking, and he never gets past intro material. So Jeff is clearly not actually "engaging" with any of GMS' content. He's just engaging with a whole range of stuff that existed in Jeff's own worldview before he ever got to the recording session. He addressed NOTHING. Rather than respond to what is being presented, he spends 89% of the time available making assertions that GMS doesn't have any business presenting at all. Now if you're a presup clone/parrot, there's no need for you to read or think further....in fact presup requires no critical thought at all. But if this video, and Durbin's non-engagement with the material is not satisfying to you, just keep going with that skepticism. Let's remind ourselves that honest debate means critically examination of your interlocutor's positions. Debate is not won by simply determining who can assert the hardest. That's what all Durbin's presup nonsense amounts to--assertions without an actual foundation. He claims to be attached to a source of eternal truth, yet he can't demonstrate or describe how he comes by that "knowledge", or how he can discern that the knowledge is actual reality. He can assert having a divine connection, yet he also believes humanity is unclean and corrupt. He'll never, ever explain to anyone how an unclean, corrupt vessel could discern divine truth. He'll make smug assertions, but he will NEVER show you how it actually works. It's exquisitely boring. Pre-sup has ZERO to do with debate. It's a complicated excuse for not debating, pure and simple. If Jeff was actually interested in GMS' position, he would have at least let GMS actually present it. If you find Durbin's summations to be glib and perfunctory, well done. That means you're thinking. KEEP THINKING. It ain't illegal yet.

A thing that GMS does that is deceitful is change his stance back and forth between atheist and agnostic to avoid the complicated truths that come with each title

It was easy to be an atheist when humans had a limited scientific knowledge. Being an atheist today is getting harder and harder. The more that gets uncovered the more complex, weird and ridiculously intricate the universe becomes. Scientists have had to concoct weird multiverse theories and other ridiculous notions to try and explain how a universe this vast and impossible exists.
