Earlier today on another social media site, someone asked the question, why do old people dress in business casual when running errands? I responded.; it’s not business casual. It’s dressing like an adult. They were probably 50 other responses very similar to mine. I just find it bizarre that dressing well or dressing decently is now considered strange by so many people in the US. Great outfits by the way. As always, you’re the man.

For pants (trousers) with belt loops you always MUST wear a belt or it just looks sloppy. Doesn’t matter if shirt is tucked in or out. Belt loops means wear a belt, no exceptions.

Though I am familiar with the theories and examples of said "polished casual" style, I coined the term/ category as "Upscale Casual" a few years back: though basic (denim, sweaters, some vintage gear, a good dress or t-shirt, and of course good shoes), everything is clean, void of holes, stains, or other 'distressing', bad fabrics are also avoided. Also, NO conspicuous displays of designer labels or logos of any kind. These were primarily for daily and less formal gatherings. I am including dress slacks into the ensemble(s) upon getting older. Lots of great ensembles showcased here, especially the henley and slacks combo from Zara at 5:02. As usual, good examples and advice exhibited in this video.

Very nice setup. This would be perfect for me to wear into the office if I ever go back to it. I'd likely do a slightly different shoe setup, but the shirt/belt/pant combos are on point. The only thing I may move away from is wearing white pants after labor day, but otherwise, very nice color combos and palettes. In fact, this style would work well for going out on the town on the weekend.

I must be frank, I like the combination of the different outfits you put together and can definitely see myself rock'n similar attire, and even more importantly the outfits are affordable for any gentleman starting out on his sartorial journey or anyone who wishes to upgrade his own personal style again sharing for sharing always appreciate the great job you do! I like the term "polished casual" and you may actually be the originator of it.

Great video as always! You ever think about doing personal consultation such as having a client meet you in Temecula and then you take them out and have a makeover done with their hair facial hair and then take them out shopping for new wardrobe?
