The Tragic And Incredible Life Of The Last Stuart Monarch | Queen Anne of Great Britain - PART 2

Queen Anne has been mostly pushed to one side in history, seen as a weak woman overwhelmed by tragedy and manipulated by her favourites. But the truth is Queen Anne was a stubborn, strong woman who bore the loss of her many children and husband with dignity, and sought to find the balance between her own opinion, and the right thing to do. This video looks at the years when William III and Mary II, Anne's elder sister, jointly took the thrones of England and Scotland, and the irreparable divide that grew between the two sisters. We also see how Anne and George's hopes were raised with the birth of their surviving son, William, Duke of Gloucester, and how the hopes of an entire nation were dashed with his death...

I thank you very much for making a video regarding an overlooked monarch like Queen Anne. Not only was she the first monarch of a United Great Britain, but also the last reigning monarch of the Stuart dynasty. Good job with an excellent narration! 💝

Excellent video. Can you also please do a video on Robert Walpole, the first Prime Minister of Great Britain and the only one to be sent to the Tower of London which led to every Prime Minister since living in No. 10 Downing St and was very active during the Glorious Revolution and Queen Anne’s reign.

I think Anne is one who looks incredibly consistent in every portrait! Even in her portrait as older, she looks considerably heavier and more tired, but the essence js the same!

the right thing for William to do, after both Mary and Duke of Gloucester died, and learned that no matter what he does, Anne still his heir, was to abdicate the throne of England, return home, have a new wife and continue the main Orange line.
What's even the point, remaining in a country which thinks of you as negatively as possible? while you also no longer hold the fierceness you once had? It's obvious how much both him and Anne were feeling so empty after all of these deaths in the family and knowing the dynasty is going to end

Why is there only one official civil war? Why do some wars get downgraded to revolutions?
