I wouldn't call this tragic just a very relatable life story. She's persevered and come out strong. She's a true survivor who turned her life around and gave us some iconic 80's music! Belinda still ROCKS and is a beautiful soul! 🥰

Hearing all of this, I actually have so much more admiration for her. Not only is she incredibly beautiful, talented, and successful... but she's strong and has tenacity to keep pushing forward. Even when things were really hard, she never gave up. Hang in there, Belinda!

Heaven is a Place on Earth is my favorite song. I'm a 53 y/o male and she has been my crush since 1987. She is so beautiful.

I got to see the GoGo's, I think in 1980. Trust me Belinda, you weren't the only one there that was trashed. I liked your music then and still do. Those years in the 70s were just the beginning of a life long addiction for me. I have 2 1/2 years now in recovery. I'm so grateful for the treatment center I went to. These months of being clean and sober for me haven't been easy, but I plan to keep trying. Hope you do as well. God Bless!

I am one of the original fans of Belinda and the Go Go's. OMG the 80's would not have been the same without the Go Go's. I was there, at every concert and believe it or not; as a recovering addict myself of some 30 years plus I intentionally did not use mind altering drugs for those concerts. I wanted the unaltered mind set to enjoy that incredible music and time. Loved it all and she, and or they were a big part of my life then. I am pleased that Belinda found a better way, as did I. Nice to see we are both here to talk about it.

She is an incredible woman - she is flawed and imperfect and struggled but is a good person who did her best and her son is a testament to how amazing she did with the hand she was dealt.

Belinda Carlisle taught me how to dance. I was about to leave high school, scared to death, and would watch her video "Mad About You" when videos were still played. She, frankly, taught me how to dance. I gained confidence from her. Went to college, met one of the greatest people in my life because my first night there, he danced next to me and said, "You're the only one here who knows how to dance." She has a soul that comes out extraordinarily even through a television. The world needs more Belinda Carlisles.

I had no idea that she came from such a humble background. She's a survivor and inspiration.

From the first time I heard her voice I was hooked. I was intrigued and I admired Belinda Carlisle for her beauty for her sassiness. She was real. She was beautiful on the outside as well as the inside and I'm sure she still beautiful inside today. But one thing I would tell her is that she's probably still alive because she's loved by many, including myself. Once you love someone and they're in your heart and soul, their energy feeds you and you feed their energy and I wish her well. Even though our time on earth is limited, the joy we have in life is unlimited. With just a smile. You touch my heart and soul enough to last a lifetime. Wishing you the best things in life. For me that is family friends with time to enjoy them

I wouldn’t say tragic. I would say her story is inspirational. She is literally an icon and soaring through sobriety and a supportive husband and son.

She was and is shockingly beautiful and talented. I just assumed that she was a happy person, sad to find out that was not the case.
