3D model from 2D sketch with T-Splines for Rhino

This from a webinar recorded on August 26, 2010, using T-Splines v2.3. Kyle Houchens demonstrates how to make a 3D model of a helicopter from a 2D sketch.

Commands used:
Delete • tsAppend • tsExtrude • tsFlip • tsInsertEdge • tsMakeUniform • tsMatch • tsSymmetry • tsThicken • tsWeld

@handslapper The UI has changed since v2, but you can turn on the heads up display by pressing "Ctrl and Spacebar" at the same time.

I could not find out how to initialize "Main icons + text" toolbar. I would appreciate your help if you just tell me how to open it.

I don't know if anyone will still answer this after all this time, but when I toggle my heli into smooth mode, the part on the edges (the extrusion) remains seperated from the side by a thick black line and wont blend smoothly with it

You can open the box in Options -> T-Splines UI -> ✔ Show text viewport HUD

the way to resolve non smooth surface is use the remove crease command to remove the crease edges, but its very difficult to remove one by one. Is that any way to remove the crease edges or turn off the crease edge while extruding the surface? Thanks

Someone please tell me how do I get the small menu on the far right, indicated with Manipulator, Mode, Objects etc to appear on the screen. Cant do much on the spline without it.

How is this different compared to modeling with subdivision surfaces ? They're almost the same thing.

hey can someone tell me how he manages to get the toolbar with all the icons such as append face, crease, etc. I'm not able to get in the rhino evaluation series. I'm new to rhino.
