I have 3 disabilities, epilepsy, anxiety and depression so I think a service dog would be a good option for me since I go to a school where I learn how to take care of myself and that can be really difficult because of my autism and learning disability because I learn differently than others so I’d need extra support. And my anxiety is something I don’t really have control over so I think that a service dog would be useful if I get panic attacks alone in public. Like for example, I start crying, I scratch my hand until it turns red for a couple of seconds and I can start breathing really fast and that is very hard for me to control on my own

I've had to deal with fake service dogs barking at my service dog. It's risky that's for sure! Buddy provides/does tasks due to my epilepsy.

Certified Trainer? Who exactly did that certification? There is no certifying body and dog training is unregulated. Service Animals, per the ADA, do NOT have to be task trained. It clearly states in the ADA that they need to be trained in a task OR Work. There are Work only dogs that do no tasks at all. This is a very important miss on the "certified" trainers part.

No a service dog does NOT have to wear a vest at all. Service dogs are allowed to bark to alert. The first dog the puppy is not a service dog, puppes can nit be services dogs, it is a service dig in training and that is not a service dog.

I am 13 im getting a service dog for my extreme anxiety h.h.d ocd and autism I am just waiting now they said it will probally be about 2 years

A service dog is a dog with teeth that can bite?? Labeling makes them less capable of biting?? No matter how well trained a dog is.. it can still revert to its instincts and pose a danger to others.. no problem with dogs going anywhere in public were crowds are expected.. so long as they are on leash and muzzled ..

sounds like bullshit to me, at least for the most part. I totally can understand a dog that is meant to guide their blind owner. even a dog that is meant to howl if their owner is on the floor due to seizures. but a service dog is the dog used by police and special forces.

people with lonelyness, super depressed due to hard life of a loved one's death, or a serious mental issue that need a companion? that is just that. a pet.

I love dogs (I mean who doesn’t they’re so cute) but I like some other unfortunate human beings in the world have been cursed and are highly allergic to dogs :/ I think these dogs should be allowed in public places as long as they’re well trained, but perhaps for places like movie theaters or airplanes these places need to make sure no one around has allergies 🤧

Only in the US is this a thing. I've encountered American's annoyed their animals for 'stress' aren't allowed to board planes here in Europe. To us getting dogs for stress/anxiety is just getting a pet. To us it's ridiculous. Sorry.
