My grandfather's uncle had two wives. The first one couldn't have any children, so she found him another wife.

You shouldn't try to be apologetic to the rest of western society.
They have no monopoly on morals.
Just because they do not accept polygamy does not mean it is wrong, especially if the first wife agrees.
The most common case of polygamy, as rabbi has said, amongst both muslims and jews, is if the wife cannot give birth.
A husband does not want to divorce his wife, as he loves her so much, so he takes another wife with the agreement of the first one.
That is pure mercy.

Israel had 4 wives. All 4 of them were healthy. He didn't marry more than one because the first one had issues! Fear Allah. All the Prophets of Israel allowed Multiple wives. Not for the reasons you are mentioning Rabbi

Having one wife and sleeping with other men's wives is a good and righteous thing, but having multiple wives and not sleeping with other men's wives is a very bad and wicked thing. This is why more than seventy percent of world population born out of adultery

so lets say couple didnt get get a child. guy get married again. 2nd wife didnt get pregnant either. the husband they found out is infertile. can the wives get another husband? why? or why not?

I respect jews for choosing to have s single spouse and not follow that dirty practice called polygamy which Islam still follows.. if they don't have children, adoption is the best option .. nothing wrong with it..
