Great Wall of China section damaged 'beyond repair': report

Two people accused of using an excavator on a section of the Great Wall of China and causing damage "beyond repair" have been arrested, China Daily reported.

The "great wall" is actually severel built by different dynasties, , some newer ones look fancy while some were clay and trees that fall apart from time.... so was it a pretty wall or a pile of dirt they moved?

To be fair, that’s a part of the wall that they’ve literally let deteriorate

A very old and crumbling section it was. I was thinking more like the tall sections. Looked like it was at the tail end of the wall where it just sort of disappears into the ground

That is not irreparable, the reason they said that was because it would mean a new extremely small section of the wall

Honestly how do you see your convenience over a national monument how conceited do you have to be to do something like that I’m not Chinese and I feel bad that someone would desecrate a historical monument like that, almost like someone bulldozing the Chichen-Itzá piramind for a short cut.
