I used to work full time as a Sr. Front End Web Developer (I quit this job), & part-time as an adjunct professor teaching web development at a local university (I kept this job — I like teaching!). cutting out the cow is one way of doing what you did, but the non-destructive method is to ctrl click the cow layer to select it then add a mask, then drag the mask on top of the sun graphic layer and use the eye icon to 'turn off' the cow layer.

I really like Creative Fabrica. The only problem is if you discontinue your subscription, you have to take down all the designs you made using anything from Creative Fabrica.

Rename .psd into .psdt (template) then everytime you will have a fresh new noname file to save down..
