United Airlines has announced plans to acquire up to 35 A321neo aircraft on long-term leases to cover ongoing Boeing 737 MAX delays which are impacting its operations. Meanwhile, Spirit Airlines forecasts a worse loss for Q1 as the U.S. carrier continues battling engine issues and subsequent Airbus aircraft groundings. Lastly, easyJet has cancelled flights to Israel until October 2024 at the earliest amid the conflict breakout that has posed safety concerns.

United Airlines never Cancel the 737 MAX 10 Order and that means that it will Receive the Boeing 737 MAX 10 in the Future with the A321NEOs!

Smart move by United Airlines. I am (slightly) interested in more information about the mysterious Max-10. Would be interesting.

What about the new MC-21? Plane #30 is in assembly. Looks like unit cost will be 30% lower than similar versions of the 737 Max.

Shouldn't Spirit see an increase in passenger numbers as more people decide to avoid Boeing aircraft?

The Max 10 if ever certified, will bring a whole new set of problems with the extending landing gear mechanism.

Good update. I'll not fly on a Boeing ever again. Good to see united placing an Airbus order.

United is thinking wisely, covering as many options as possible.

Spirit will improve given time? How much time? They haven’t made money since before 2020. How much time do they need? The business model is obviously flawed, and the amount of repeat traffic they receive has got to be way lower than other airlines.

singapore airline see a surge in passenger interest after deliveries of the A350 aircraft over boeing.

It is unlikely United will be popular unless it doubles its shrinking seats for passengers.

Make a video why Boeing did not update Boeing 757, and went instead with the old 737 🫤

United should buy either spirit or JetBlue, won’t have to worry about deliveries and can get some good routes like in the Caribbean. Maybe JetBlue more, i know spirit would be cheaper

Boeing is in serious trouble. Airbus moving in for the kill with the Airbus 321 Neo. Watch out Boeing .

The legacy carriers (like Delta, United and American) have all filed for Bankruptcy multiple times and have survived just fine, in fact Delta has become the most profitable airline, so I think Spirit will be OK.

It would be interesting to note the correlation of pay to performance in these companies that are losing huge amounts of money. Most times the CEOs are raking in huge salaries while delivering dismal performance. Taking huge increases each year while the company falls farther and farther behind. It would seem a reality check is needed across the business world. Upper management seems a license to steal and a get home free card to excuse a total lack of performance.
