1:17 i don't know why this one shot is so powerful, but clearly i'm not the only one to think so. i think if you're gonna cry in this movie, it's gonna be to that scene, that shot, that music. i can't even put it in words... something about seeing the beauty of the blue sea, the solid earth, all these spaceship parts raining down like shooting stars... ugh, i can't even. i'm almost in tears just describing it.

Best part for me, as a bit of a space nut. Prior to this, every tumbling piece has the plasma from reentry sticking close to their surfaces. As soon as that capsule stabilizes heat-shield front, you can see the shock front pushed away from it. Such a stunning visual.

She was really lucky to survive. When you make a space mistake, it can be fatal. You could crack your helmet. Spin too fast. Push the wrong thing and the top comes off. The tube could pop. The window could KABOOM. No oopsies.
