I am trying to use a Vizio 3651 Sound bar to produce 5.1 surround audio. The problem is that DR 16 Only sees two speakers (Left Front & Right Front) in Preferences / Video & Audio, wen selecting thr Vizio Sound bar but sees 8 speakers when selecting the Realtek Speakers on my ASUS GL702 VSH Gaming laptop. The MIXERS show out pot but the audio doesn't seem to go to the correct speakers. Example when the play head crosses either Surround speaker the sound comes out both surround speakers no mater how I set up the Buss Format (main 1 Stereo Main 2 5.1) . Anyone Doing %.1 in Fairlight? What speaker system do you use.

Hello Derek, the title of the video implies 8 channels, 6 for surround sound and two for stereo. This is actually what I would like to do in Resolve ie run sound effects from a JLB surround sound system and music from two monitors, for nature shows in care homes. I need the monitors because the music quality out of the surround sound speakers is poor. But how do I pipe the sound from the eight channels in Resolve to my audio equipment? That`s why I clicked hopefully on your video when I saw the title. Surround sound via hdmi, stereo via line out? But my computer only allows one or the other it seems. Is there a way around this would you know? Thank. Ian

Hello, I am making a video for YouTube and would like to use Left, Center, Right speakers. The L&R for the musical score and Center channel for dialog. I have converted my stereo dialog channel to mono and it still comes out of the left and right channels. How do I move the dialog to center channel only and will it play properly if only L&R speakers are used? Thank you

Is this proper 5.1 though? I just ask because this seems like a very oversimplified process. It’s just hard to believe that it’s a simple as moving a dotaround. Just based on Stuff I have found when searching how to do a 5.1 mix
