I have the 891. It effortlessly removed the strut and frame bolts for my 2015 Expedition. Unless you are dealing with very rusted bolts the 891 is perfect for most auto repairs.

Great video. I have the dcf891 and had the dcf894 and let me say the new 891 is a huge step above. As a tech at a dealership the 891 is able to break loose things the old 894 couldn’t so much much I don’t really need the bigger tool. I was gonna get the older 899 and I’m happy I waited. The 891 easily broke loose caliper bolts off a Chevy truck that my bigger old IR air impact had trouble with. Great tool for a mechanic and the 900 would be great for like those stubborn honda crank bolts. I’d say if you are a mechanic the 891 is good for about 95% of the work thrown at you. Props to Dewalt for stepping up the game.

I wish when high torques were demonstrated they wouldn't be done on wheel studs high torque impacts are for more like suspension and Frame Work not lug nuts everyone on youtube shows impact wrenches on lug nuts.. it's so cliche kinda feels lazy showing them being used on nothing more then lug nuts should be able to remove crank bolts and shocks and steering racks cross members and more... No offense at all Jennifer just my opinion @Miss Dewalt

I do automotive for a living and own the Hercules High Torque 1/2 impact wrench with 5a battery, and recently purchased the DCF891 with 5a Powerstack. Wanted something close to High Torque specs in a smaller size. Although I see myself using the Dewalt more often now, I feel it is still good to have a High Torque wrench for the type of work that I do

I am very happy with the DCF891. Good power in a more compact and lighter size

So I have the 899 and the 900 I'm a diesel mechanic and use this style tool multiple times a day the 900 is a big step up compared to the 899 it's replacing

It might sound silly, but i could watch this lady change tires all day! 🤔😊

Good review and comparison Jennifer. About the belt clips, pertaining to impacts; most leave them off, as they either get in the way, or in a Technicians case, could scratch a vehicle said Tech is working on. I even left the clip off my 12 Volt Extreme 3/8 impact! They can catch on wiring, etc. in an engine bay, or hydraulic lines and such, in a heavier duty application?

Stay safe and Healthy! 👍👍👍👍🤗🧡😊

Hey. Jennifer, fantastic review as always. Hit all the little details and questions that we have. That 900 seems like an absolute must have! Keep up the great work!

On the bottom of the 900, is there only 2 prongs that the battery sits in? Asking because i think i got a knock off from ali express

Great video, thanks. Looking at the DCF892, I believe it's the same as the DCF891 but it's a ball detent instead of hog ring.

I'm so confused with these modes - some people say higher RPM modes give lower torque, but your are saying lower RPM modes give lower torque...

I wish somebody could explain how RPM, Torque and IPM are related in a clear way - all videos are very confusing... even the manuals with the tools don't clarify it.

Hi, Jen :) When you had the car on a jack, you unscrewed it with Precision wrench or one of these 3 mods?
And also which mode for Fastening while car is still on jack? And when you take the car off the jack on the ground which mode for fastening screws? I don't want to tear off the thread on the screw :D

Would love to see the 900 with the new 5.0ah Powerstack, that sounds like a great combo.

I have the 899 and the 891 makes almost exactly the same power. Buying the 891 and selling the 899. Why lug around extra weight for the same torque? Don’t really need the 900 but might buy it eventually

Which one would you recommend for daily use for for fastening and un fastening lug bolts?

Max. fastening torque Precision Wrench™ mode: 600 ft-lbs, 812 Nm
Low Mode: 100 ft-lbs, 136 Nm
Medium mode: 300 ft-lbs, 406 Nm
High mode: 600 ft-lbs, 812 Nm.
What is the torque spec for that application? 80 I am guessing.
