The 899 model also popped and crackled almost as much of this one and they seem to hold up well.

I personally like to run my 1/4" impact driver with the 15AH Pack to assert dominance among my peers.

I like the fact that a channel like this exists and is quite popular, holding tool manufacturers accountable for their sometimes very extravagant advertising claims. By this point I'm sure the marketing departments of these companies must be aware of you and know they will be tested, thus keeping them honest. Really, we need this for ALL consumer products.

It's nice to not be embarrassed by being a Dewalt guy. I have been using the new DeWalt 3/8" impact and rarely need my 1/2" cordless anymore. Plus the power switch that goes from delicate to full-beans allows it to be used as a 1 stop shop for either big power or "put it on nicely so it doesn't hurt the aluminum engine block" in a single tool is amazing. Dewalt really has some incredible tools in this new lineup.

Been using the DCF899 for about six years and it's one of the best purchases I've ever made. It cuts most of my mechanical job times in half. The only bolt I've ever not been able to remove was on a leaf spring which I had to cut off. I've seen many tests from your channel and Project Farm which made me kind of regret not going with a Milwaukee lineup (I think that I have literally every Dewalt 20v MAX tool except the circular saw, even the chainsaw), but I've never regretted the DCF899. Mine looks like it was pulled out of a junk yard at this point from so much use, so it might be time for the DCF900 soon! Thanks!

It boggles my mind how far cordless tools have come.

Good to see Dewalt finally showing up to the party and stop letting Milwaukee control the market in performance. Competition is good for us consumers

SBD clearly put the entire r&d budget for this thing all into the internals. It looks the exact same as it’s predecessor simply because they didn’t put any of the budget into the looks department. Smart choice if you ask me. The numbers speak for themselves.

Its all about extensions and universals with the high torques, so many bolts are both rusted and you don't have a straight shot, my mid torque couldn't move these by a long shot, but a hi torque can get it done, its really heavy and pricey but I'm so glad to have one these days, what a world!

I just got this DeWalt to replace my air gun that went bad and they no longer made rebuild kits for. I already had many 20v DeWalt tools so I figured why not. I should have done it years ago. Best tool purchase I have made in years. I used it to pull a D30 from under my wrangler and it had it out in no time. Never even slowed down on any on the lower control arm bolts or the wheel lug nuts. Good video. I like how you show the numbers so that even an old guy like me can understand.

Keep up the hard work I bought my dad the rigid half inch impact he's getting up there in age and I feel like that made a big difference he carries it everywhere with him he mainly takes apart agricultural water systems and standpipes so they're pretty good size bolts and sometimes 20 of them just on one joint

Well done, DeWalt! Being able to put out the beans like the tool trucks' impacts for half the cost?! As Todd would say, "Very impressive!"

DeWalt is killing it right now. I have the DCF891 that I am trying to test right now and i am struggling to find stuff to show just how powerful and impressive it really is.

I really appreciate the methodical testing methods used and stating the facts no matter what brand is being tested. It’s nice to see where something actually comes in real life, not best case scenario lab testing values. Keep up the great work.

Great job testing! It is impossible to know which is best for my hard-earned money just standing in the aisle looking and trying to compare these tools out of the actual field of work, but you took the gamble out of all that. THANKS!

Wached this two years ago. And now I finally treated myself this Christmas and bought the DCF900 . I have to do my ball joint, and I'm excited to see how well it does.

I had a DeWalt drill nearly break my arm one time. I was a delivery guy for sears my craftsman went dead so I borrowed the home owners. The lady looked me in the eye and quoted a DeWalt commercial "it's battery powered"

So glad to see this as I'm looking to get an Impact wrench as I live in England (where everything rusts) and I own classic cars. All my battery tools are Dewalt running 5ah batteries, so seeing this result means I can undo pretty much any bolt that is now 'one with the car'. Now I just have to find a DCF900 this side of the pond!
