Jeep Renegade Apple CarPlay Upgrade 8.4 Uconnect - Part 1

@Carstereochick explains how she and John attempt to upgrade a 2020 Jeep Renegade Uconnect 5.0 to Apple CarPlay 8.4 using OEM parts sourced from Infotainment. This is part of a beta test, these parts are not currently available for sale to the public.

The 8.4" screen has been preprogrammed to the VIN and a proxi alignment is scheduled at the dealer.

Will it work? We're not sure, Infotainment is beta testing this kit for the Renegade at this time and our shop (and client) have signed up to test it out.

I hope this goes on sale soon... I have been looking for something like this for a while. I have a 2016 renegade.. but only ones I can find are cheap knock offs that run android and have alot of bugs.. hopefully this one can have its bugs sorted and I can get one ordered to the uk

My Jeep renagade 2018 has a bubble or air inside the screen. No more warranty so it’s hard to find a place that’s willing to change it and fix it
