How to dress better as a short person (for the gym) 🧑🏻🍼
I surprisingly have had a lot of people tell me I don't look as short as I claim (thank you 😂). Well it really just comes down to proportions when wearing my clothes.
So as someone who is also vertically challenged here's some tips that could help you also not look as short until someone stands next to you:
👕 Tops
- Make sure the tees aren't too long
- Longer tees will make your legs look shorter
- Unless the shirt sits slightly above my crotch, I'll tuck my shirts in. This could also apply to pullovers, jackets, etc. Anything too long that could make your legs look shorter are a no go when shopping
🩳 Bottoms
- Find shorts that sit above the knees
- My preferred length is either 5' or 3.5'
- Make sure they're not too baggy or loose. Making clothes look like they actually fit you will make a huge difference. This is why building muscle could actually make you look taller as it helps fill clothes out a bit better. This could apply to pants - I make sure to tailor all my pants to ankle length. Otherwise, it just looks like I got hand me downs
