The Tahoe is proof that GM knows how to play in certain segments and dominate. For the life of me, I will never understand the bewildering decision Toyota made in the Sequoia redesign, having had since 2008 to bring its A-game. The interior being smaller than the Grand Highlander(even behind the 3rd row) is really egregious. Sure, the powertrain is robust but with questionable reliability from the 3.4L V6(even 24s are still having issues). On the Sequoia Platinum that I tested, I was shocked by the lack of precision in body control, structure shock when hitting a bump, and poor ride quality(by comparison to the GMs and Wagoneer).

Skip the 24s on the GM, and save $5K because it also forces air suspension which explains the elevated price. You'd also pick up even better ride quality. Also skip the rear screens and save another $2K and it comes under the price of the Toyota.

Tahoe for sure. More reliable powertrain (surprisingly) with the v8. Better interior, Better technology, actual usable backseats that fold appropriately.

Both are about 30k too expensive (in every trim). This is getting out of hand.

Hands down it's the Tahoe.
And the price will be more closer if you replace those 24's with the standard 22's. 4k difference I think.

Sequoia got a lot to do for their exterior design, imho. Tahoe wins still!

The Tahoe is cute for large families. We got the 2024 Sequoia TRD PRO just me the wife and 2 small kids. Anything bigger sure grab a Tahoe or suburban. That being said the power and drive of the sequoia are beast!, it’s something about the system that just makes it a joy ride more so. We are close to 20k and she has been a beast with Zero issues. The gas mileage is not bad but I guess that’s been a complaint and the cargo area has a shelve so it does flatten out just fine, I’ve filled the back with tons of 5 gallon jugs with no issue. Get what suits you, we love our Sequoia TRD.

You skipped over the most important thing.
The Sequoia 3rd row seats don't fold flat.
I have no idea what they are thinking at Toyota. It is not 1996 anymore. How could you even think about offering a 3 row with 3rd row seats that don't fold flat.
Spend the money and change your suspension.
Besides rental car companies, I have no idea who would buy that vehicle.
As far as I am concerned, that is a negative 10 points.
Plus, Tahoe offers a diesel. Cruising down the highway getting 27 MPG in a 3 row is pretty awesome.

This is not even close it would be better to compare the qx80 to the Tahoe until the new Expedition arrives

Tahoe all day. Say what you want about GM, but they rule this segment with an iron grip with no signs of letting up. They're not perfect, of course... but pretty damn close.

I’m a big Chevy guy and I’d take the tahoe all day but massaging seats and ventilated rear seats is impressive on the sequoia!

The Sequoia exterior with a Tahoe interior would be damn near perfect.

GM makes the most reliable vehicles these days. Buy a Chevy, Buick, GMC or Cadillac and you won’t regret it.

My 2025 Camry remote starts from the fob, and so does yours. No app or subscription required. The subscription lets you use your phone. Push the lock button 3 times, holding for 2 seconds on the thrord push.
