Our government needs to start building low income housing for seniors. When you're on a fixed income and they raise your rent like that. You have no chance in the world to have a place to live. I'm a retired senior I work part-time so I can pay my bills and put a little bit of money away. They raised my rent every year and this year they raised it the by $75 now more a month. If I didn't work part-time I wouldn't be able to make it

I knew you were in my hometown of Las Vegas!! People ignore and don’t care about those less fortunate in life and assume all of them are on the streets due to drugs, alcohol, or gambling. Majority of the homeless in my hometown just like many places are veterans, rent prices went up 3x, and just down on their luck. Thank you for reaching out to those living with less in Las Vegas. If you go anywhere off of Bonanza, Owens, Washington, between Bruce, Las Vegas Blvd, Martin Luther King Blvd, anywhere in the historic Westside, Woodlawn Cemetery you’ll find A LOT of people. Just be careful because Metro and North LV PD are not nice and they will arrest you for helping people. Do not be over there after dark either; wanted to share some pointers from my own experience doing outreach in my hometown before moving away. Thank you so much Knate for everything you do!!💜💜💜💜
