The IK hit stop is explained here by Cory Barlog:

I implemented this feature with Control Rig and Fullbody IK. The animation was keyed by myself with Maya.

can't they just use anim montage, to start and stop it when you hit the axe for period of time? also, speed up the axe after starting it after hitting it making it feel like an actual hit, they missed that i guess

Fine. Dont show us how or reply to any comments for 3 years.
Edit. "Control Rig" is a plugin in UE4.27 that you need to enable first, restart - to get the Node on his screen. 0:24.
Then go to Anim BP > Anim Graph > pick an anim > right click, type Control Rig > add that Node.
But my Node only has Alpha pin. Idk how to add the others he did. And Id rather have a way to mod anims that play as Anim Montages (not in Anim BP). How??

Hello, a few months have passed and I am very eager to know how you achieved this. I also hope that it will appear in playing montage and only appear when a hit is detected
