Aw cute alien lifeforms what could possibly go wrong? Lego Friends Space Research Rover build review

Well Olivia is off living her best life on some unknown planet, totally not about to get her face eaten off by adorable alien flower muppets. Lego Friends Space Research Rover 42602 is vibrant and fun and has a space pug doggo. Can't ask for more than that. The rover itself is very clever and fits a heap into a small space while being ergonomic and just plain fun to roll around on your space landscape.

I think you mean the oxygen tanks on their backs, but it could just be a backpack if they have special suits that make it own oxygen 😂
I love the translucent pearl parts they're so pretty 😍
This is a fun set with lots of play features. This may be now on my Christmas gift list for the grandkids 😊

I'm so stoked you reviewed this one! I wasn't sure you were going to. It's in my building queue but it's coming up soon. I've loved all things Lego Space since I was a kid in the late 80s-90s. There's been tons of good Space stuff this year, but this looks to be the standout set for me. The creative design colors, and features all remind me of 90s Space stuff in the best way possible. The Mars base was also incredible (basically everything I've ever wanted from a Lego Space playset since I was a kid) and this will be a great companion piece.

Plus the little secondary hover vehicle on this one is based on the Exploriens Hovertron (6815), which I adored as a kid!

Hey Ellie! This set had me at space-puppy!🐶❤ I love the Lego aliens, they are sooo friendly (and not a probe in sight!) Those wheels are very cool! (I wish I'd had them in the Seventies, because moccing space stuff was all we did?) Great build!💕

I wish it was available on more places, I was just checking online stores for this one and it's so unreasonably expensive. 😭 The aliens are so cute though. I hope Lego will post the last 2 episodes of The Next Chapter season 2 soon. Season 2 episode 11 is called "Friends reunite". Did you know that all minidoll space suits are all male torsos?

Great to see you got around to this :) I've been hoping you might take a crack at that Classic Space Galaxy Explorer set from a few years ago some day, too :) The one you show here (and the new Galaxy Explorer) is probably one of the better designed space sets I've seen in any line for a while, and that's saying something

One thing to watch out for is the wheel assembly, it can be a bit tricky. Might lock up if not put together right

I think this is a cool set but Friends use way too many stickers imo. I suppose they want them to be unique, they wouldn't really fit with other Lego as much. So that's why they aren't a print. I'm also worried I'll put them on wrong. Luckily Lego is pretty quick at sending you new ones if you mess up really bad. lol
