Why VQ mismatch responds to oxygen ?

VQ mismatch is probably the word that is thrown around in any cause of hypoxemia, probably with very superficial understanding of what it really means. Understanding the concepts of VQ mismatch will help you appreciate the complex nature of ventilation and perfusion. Please watch the first part of the lecture to get full understanding of physiology of VQ mismatch.
