I dońt understand - why there is more ventilation in smaller alveoli? I get it that can expand, but big alveoli in the apex are already "expanded" so what's the difference? 4:33

Armando, in case of pulmonary embolism there is no more perfusion in a certain segment of the lung. As a result of that, there is an area of high V/Q. That is what you said. But now the blood is go everywhere else so perfusion increases in other areas. So everywhere else you get an area of low V/Q and therefore low oxygen in the blood.
