My Honest Review of FC 25 after Playing 250 Hours

I’ve played a lot of FIFA this year. The games been out a month, and honestly it’s quite sad to realise that on average i’ve played at least 4 hours a day. But i’ve been a fan of FIFA career for 20 years and I make content on the game mode, so what do I think of the game? How is the mode? Is it still fun after all these years? What about the bugs? What things still need improving?

I’m gonna try to answer all of these questions in todays video.

I just wish they had historical data so you can track appearances and goals etc over the entire career of a player. Instead, it just resets after each season. I mean, they manage to implement it on other games such as NHL.

The cpu scores when it wants to, it's very much predictable and you can't do anything about it.. Like player switching won't work correctly or missed tackle/pass/shot from user.

4 hours seems legit. Time really flies on this. I will start at 9, play some games and then I look over and it’s midnight.

Menu design in Career mode is awful and complicated.

The two things I'd so love in a FC career mode.

-History being saved for every player
-Semi-Dynamic potential for EVERY player in the game, not just the ones you control

For both changes, add the option for players to either add, or disable the feature before a save (as it would probably take way longer to simulate this way).
But no kidding, I think if every player in the game could actually increase and turn into a star, I don't think I'd ever play another football game.
Imagine having a 2. Bundesliga striker score 20+ goals in a season, have a dynamic potential change and get swooped up by a Bundesliga team. I think this in-turn would also majorly help in fixing the problems of teams becoming non-competitive in later stages of the simulation, as now every player playing at a high rated team COULD get into superstardom.

My biggest issue right now with getting new FIFA games is that I just find it difficult to justify paying full price for the game. I haven't paid full price on release since FIFA 21, I absolutely love football and I always will come back to career mode but the past year I mainly played FIFA 10, 14, 16 and 17 instead of the recent games.

I like the youth academy stuff and the no sacking should have been in the game for a long time. However this is the buggiest game for me since fifa 20. I have other problems too but that is inexcusable.

My problems with EA Fc 25:
- general performance issues
- insane momentum switches which makes you loose to players worse than you even when you are 2 goals up
- terrible defending AI... if the game wants you to loose your defenders just run away from the striker and your whole defense is beaten with a single press of triangle
- the tacklings are awful, sometimes I tackle the player with the ball three times and still dont get posession
- The goalkeeping is worse than ever, they make insane saves from a 10 meter distance but concede a 30 meters screamer a minute later
- 90th minute goals every second match
- The passing is simply unbearable because my players are straight up passing to a different player I am not aiming at
- The rebounds make no sense and always bounce to the player ea favours
- Rivals matches dont count sometimes
- Rush challenges dont count sometimes
- The pace of the individual players is meaningless as even the slowest defenders keep catching up to my strikers
- If ea wants you to win your players start making good runs which lead to easy goals, however as soon as you are a few goals up it seems impossible to get through the opponents defense
- corner kicks are impossible to defend, especially if the opponent has a player like Van Dijk. You simply cannot stop him from making a header
- random game crashes
- goals just dont feel satisfying like they used to
- kickoff glitches are still a thing
- New cheat in which you are unable to sprint
- Dimarco is insane for some reason

Thats all I had on my mind for now, tell me if I forgot something

The thing i miss the most compared to older fifas is how many national teams we used to have.

I wish there was another developer besides EA to make these types of games. Back in the day we had different developers like SEGA and Konami making good Soccer football games.

With this FIFA career mode is now back to where it was in fifa 2006. Took a long time to get there, but now we can focus on some actual updates.

Most obvious change I would say is the new inability to position players where you'd like, I mean why remove this!?

I'm Definitely enjoying career mode this year.. plus the gameplay feels great. Hopefully they don't ruin it with these title updates

Still getting used to the UI - having to restart my career (barely got started) because I didn’t see the salary negotiation button after paying a transfer fee. So the players were disappointed that I didn’t reach out. Sold my striker and missed out on signing the replacement, as well as an upgrade at CB and RB lol
