My dog understands tomorrow I tell her the day before that we are going do something tomorrow and right before she goes to sleep I tell about tomorrow and what we are going to I tell her when she wakes then we will get ready we will go and she knows she looks forward to it

Might it be that the more intelligent participants came up with fewer "escape plans" because they thought through the scenarios and ruled out the obvious failures? Taking foolish or rash chances could get you killed before it was completed. js

Why do scientists always say animals don’t plan for th future that they don’t hav a thinking brain don’t birds gather branches every day to make a nest so that when they lay ther eggs th baby’s hav a home that requires thinking and planning other animals do th same

I love how we’re going to spend a billion dollars to “separate the mind from the body” and admittedly go back in time “hundreds”, if not thousands of years when we don’t even fully understand the process of evolving consciousness that was accomplished back then in the first place with zero technology to throw at it. There’s so much blatant disregard for ancient Egyptian cultures and other civilizations and the massive involvement of consciousness on their feats of accomplishments that are still unexplainable today. Everything we need is already within us. Every single culture in the history of this world understood. Our ignorant generation is engulfed in the ego, constantly chasing external validation. It’s the reason we’re the least spiritually evolved humans have ever been in documented history in my opinion.

Creativity, novelty, imagination, and love= greater humanness than what science can break down into specific parts. I can imagine scenes in my mind that don’t exist anywhere else. And those images can actually become reality if imaged properly. Consciousness is our life force that contains everything we are.

If a squirrel or other animals store food for the winter, aren't they doing that with the thought process of anticipating the future weather and thinking of tomorrow?

Animals do understand the concept of tomorrow. Think about the dog burying its bone or the squirrel collecting nuts for winter. Also escape plans, if you ever seen a predator chasing prey you now they are both thinking and planing escape.

Brilliant guy, but he's way off in the first two minuts. Animals do scheme and plan for the future: squirrels gather and horde nuts, Dogs bury bones, cats hide and wait patiently for critters to come by, beavers build dams, birds build nests... etc. All of these actions require an amount of forsite and interest in a future.

Not deterministic? Given the exact same conditions 2 occurrences will have identical outputs. If you have 2 earths 4.5 billion years ago, then of course they probably would be different now obviously because they have different environments, different location in space. Put this 2 earths on the exact environment down to atomic particles then i'd bet you that they'd be the same.

It isn’t very encouraging that our thought leaders in science still call people who can solve problems for the future not intelligent or less intelligent on our “intelligence scales”. Who came up with intelligence scales that really don’t point to people who have intelligence that is useful in real life situations??? Anyways it explains a lot but not through what they are saying but what they aren’t saying.
