CORRECTION: the slide at 14:30-16:00 is supposed to say l=0 is s, l=1 is p, l=2 is d.
at 2:56 I mean to say that tritium has more neutrons, not more protons.
Apologies for the errors!!

Follows the Kaplan set of MCAT prep books.
Covers subatomic particles, ions, atomic mass, atomic weight, isotopes, Rutherford, Planck, Bohr Model, electromagnetic (EM) radiation, quantized energy, Planck relation, ground state and excited state electrons, Rydberg equations, atomic absorption spectra, lyman series, balmer series, paschen series, atomic absorption, atomic emission, quantum mechanical model of atoms, orbitals, Heisenberg uncertainty principle, quantum numbers, principal quantum number, subshell, spectroscopic notation, spin, electronic configuration, noble gas shorthand, Hund's rule, paramagnetism, diamagnetism, valence electrons, Audbau principle.

I paused this video while studying to let you know that you are by far my favorite youtube channel as far as studying goes. Thank you soooo much

So I’m using the same prep books to study right now but I’m more of a visual and auditory learner so these videos are a lifesaver. Thank you so much!

I just started studying for the MCAT and finished Chapter 1 of the General Chemistry review book! So glad I came across your video as it’s cemented what I’ve just learned! Keep it up!

Thank you for this video. I am a bit confused at 24:00, if we have a cation of Fe, we are removing from the highest which is 4s but for bromine cation, we are removing from 4p orbital and not 4s?

HII!! I'm a psychology student with a Humanities and Social Sciences background who wants to get into Med School. Not a lot of my interests align, as you can see. I just wanted you to know that I started self-studying (yay!!) and that I will now be a regular viewer of your channel~ BLESS YOU!! 🥺💞✨

This channel is really helpful. I love how you don't really care about the number of views or subscribers you have but are doing this for other people. When will you be making more videos for gen chem, biochem, and physics?

At 2:56 you said tritium has one more proton when you meant to say neutron which kind of tripped me up, but such a great video thank you so much!

Hey, so Im studing using the Kaplan Chemistry book and it says that the Lyman series goes from n> or equal 2 to n=1, the Balmer series includes from the n> or equal 3 to n=2, and ultimately the Paschen accounts for n> or equal 4 to n=3.
