Thank you. Your videos release stress. I have two questions. Can these animals survive pearl harvesting? If not, can they be cooked for human consumption?

This nacre layering is the beauty of the pearl. Saltwater oysters will only produce 1 to 2 pearls per typical nucleation. Akoya oysters can be nucleated with up to 5 beads but the use of only 2 is most common. The Akoya oyster dies at harvest. South Sea oysters (Pinctada margaritifera and Pinctada maxima) accept only one nucleus at a time but, as they do not die at harvest, they may be nucleated several times. If a particular oyster has been successfully nucleated several times and consistently produces fine pearls, the oyster is often returned to the wild to strengthen the genes of future generations of spat.

I want them to show how they put the pearls in before they open them up.

whats so bad is that you can tell the shell was painted in blue by how the paint was peeling off from the shell itself, where it was cut. Why in every one of these clips, do they have to take ONE perl out at a time, why not take a few at a time? I have to admit, the perls are beautiful but fabricating the colors of the shells to gain more viewers is just crazy.

Do not kill the oysters !! Leave thrm alone ! That is purely our balance on earth the living oysters and other fishes on water. NO TO CLAMS KILLING!!!!LEAVE THEM ALONE is those were real as this Leave them alone thats not yours. Stealing is a crime before God! God created thr heavens and the earth and all the living things on earth!

Looks real to me…but all that delicious clam meat gets tossed away. I’d take along some lemon and cocktail sauce!
