Would this work through a different phones hotspot when using 4g for the hotspot? if it could then on the go remote play would work a treat as i use to do this with the psvita, cant wait to try this at home :)

Why will you prefer 4G connection if a typical local wifi connection can transmit 100mbps and way more stable?

Question is if the Z3 uses the 5ghz band to stream with the PS4, should get even less lagg if that is the case. So superior to PSV in all regards.

Playing my PS4 from work right now! Occasional lag, but works pretty solid overall. Played Destiny with almost no problem

does this first try to connect directly to the wifi hotspot of the ps4 itself like the remote play of the vita or does it only connect over the internet connection?

you can select "connect directly with PS Vita" in the PS4 Settings.

Sony itself says it's the best method for remote play:

"PS4 as Wireless Access Point: This option lets your PS Vita wirelessly connect directly to the PS4 and provides the best Remote Play experience."

Why wouldn't this work with the z3?

So u cant use remote play like vita does? Wat i mean is u can play in vita without connection atleast u are in range with the ps4 wifi? Can u use that in z3 please i want to know..
