I have to admit I’ve used the presets a lot in compressor and channel eq…..but your videos have made me try tweaking manually.

How about using the “multi-pressor” for vocals which can benefit from saturation?
I’ve been using FAC Medusa first and then applying the Logic stock to tame the peaks. I also find automating different parameters like the threshold and the ratio is almost always necessary for not only very dynamic vocal performances, but also if the verse is relatively quiet and the bridge gets quite loud. Am I going about it the right way? Which parameters would you automate in such a scenario?
