Spyro 1: The Dragon (Remaster) - Arachnophobe Trophy Guide / Achievement Guide - Defeat all Metalback Spiders [Bronze]

This takes place in the level High Caves from Magic Crafters. Towards the end of the level you’ll reach a big area sporting a Supercharge ramp. At the beginning of the level you’ll probably have explored the caves. Inside each cave are Metalback spiders, huge armored spiders that are impervious to your normal charging and flaming attacks. They can be eliminated only by either supercharging through or flaming them after being kissed by a fairy. The best strategy to achieve this trophy is to use the Supercharge for the first two or three spiders in the lower area of the caves and then use the Superflame power-up to get rid of those in the higher area of the caves (climb some steps to get there). Remember to get rid of the Green Druids that are making some of the cave entrances smaller and bigger every time they use their magic. This is important to use the Superflame power-up. Rinse and repeat for each left Metalback spider and once you’ve killed them all the trophy will unlock.

For people who doesn't unlock the trophy, remember to gain the drop sphere or gems from Spiders. I unlock the trophy by looking around about 30 seconds after killing the last spider, in the exact moment i found a drop sphere

I used the fire from the fairy for all spiders. If you get the fairy to kiss you and give you the super flame, then glide down off of the same platform the fairy is on, you can kill the first spider with fire. If you’re looking straight out of the cave at the fairy that kisses you, glide down to the left

For anyone who can't take a sharp enough turn, you only need to use 2/3 super charge arrows. If you start lower on the ramp you can still charge and you can turn much easier.

For everyone saying its glitched it is (kinda) i tried 3 times and finally got it, the difference is only use the super ability off the fairy to kill all the spiders dont use the super charge. This should work.

I’m glad I found this video. I forgot everything about the original. All I remember is what Spyro looked like and the game got me super angry lol

Ok i got it the fourth try, this is how i did it, dont get hurt by them (first three times i did get hurt...so) and do not use the supercharge, only the superflame. They should all be easy to reach except for the 5th one (thats the one at the start of the level) you need to go around the back where the wizards were fighting (make sure you kill those first) after i flamed them all, without getting hurt, it popped, remember this is alternatif if it doesnt pop the regular way! Hope this helps!!!

I was trying to use the superflame to get to the bottom spider for ages until I watched this and realised I was supposed to be using the supercharge

Off all levels High Caves and Dry Cannon I completely skipped over like someone falling off a tree and missing most of the branches on the way down.

I used the supercharge ramp on all of them.
