Black Lives Matter Organizers and Formers held a state of the movement address to speak on recent allegations against the organization.

Former executive director Patrisse Cullors spoke about purchasing the six million dollars homes reported in the New York Magazine article.

Activist Dr. Angela Y. Davis also was a featured speaker during the meeting. She addressed the difficulty BLM is facing.

She took all of that money that could have done SO MUCH GOOD for black communities & straight up pocketed it for her & her friends.

There’s no justification for BLM to purchase a $6M property on the backs of those supporting the causes that plague black’s in America. I had a very detailed conversation with my son’s about donating their hard earned money to this cause due in part to issues like these. The notion that they are being targeted is a deflection tool to prevent them from being held accountable. I hear their words, but through all of that, they are not really saying much. A thorough investigation is needed on all fronts to make sure they are held accountable for any irregularities, which I’m sure there is a lot.
