🌟 What BIG BOOKS do YOU want to read? 📚 Book Club Announcement and Introduction of Book Options 😍📖☕

Hi everyone!

I am very excited to announce that from January 2021 I'll be hosting a bi-monthly book club where we will be reading big, intimidating but must-read novels!

You will be the ones to decide what book we will be reading every 2 months. Please, so to the community section on my channel page and vote for the book that has picked your interest the most!

I hope this book club will motivate and encourage everyone to read big books that all of us have been postponing and putting off!

I'm looking forward to reading and discussing all the great books with you! I hope you are excited too and reading together will be an enriching and fulfilling experience for all of us :)

Thank you for watching and voting!

Oh my god I have soooo many 'big books' on my shelves which I always bypass when choosing one to start. But the lesson I just cannot seem to learn is this: every time I gulp and just go for it, it pays off. The 'big books' that I'm wary of having my time wasted by always end up fantastically enjoyable. Why am I still so intimidated by them then? Hahaa, oh dear. Another really fun video Tanya, thank you! :)

This is so exciting! I want to read long classics too. Let's do this 💪

I love this idea! I'll be joining to your BBB. I'm ready to read any book on this list. All of them sound intriguing and like something I'd be interested in picking up. Thank you for creating this book club! I'm looking forward to January

When tackling big books, I found it helpful to write down – on the inside back cover – the page number of characters’ first appearances as well as key events. I did this with Eon by Greg Bear and 1Q84 by Haruki Murakami. I like the nine choices you presented here, and I’m leaning toward Don Quixote, but I’ll check out blurbs on the others before casting my vote.

A great idea! I'm in with whatever gets chosen but I agree with a few other people who mentioned it already. Could you make an announcement earlier so we have the time to buy and receive the book. But I love the idea. Thank you for organizing this!

such a good idea!! I have a rather strict TBR so maybe I won’t take part (of maybe Бесы, if it wins) but still I am going to watch the videos! 🌻💛
I myself would like to read les miserables from my “big books” tbr.. somedayyy ;0; even if I listen to it, it is really long!

I’ve read Forbidden Colours by Mishima but if it is the first book you read from him I really recommend “Tales of Worship” first, which is a collection of short stories.. He has a very specific style and I think it really shines in his short stories and can make one appreciate his longer works!

Also The Old Curiosity Shop by Dickens is really interesting! Probably one of my favourite Dickens novels.. Very classical Dickens style, if you like him!!

all the choices look so good! very excited to see some vlogs about the reading experience in the future! hehehe🐻

Great idea. I am torn between Kintu and 2666. "BBB" sounds a cool name 👍

Sorry if I'm late to the Big Book Bookclub! 😊 Such interesting and diverse titles. I've always find thick books such a turn on... 😅. Will see if I can read along this round. Looking forward to the club! 😍

I will read along! My first choices are 2666 (this book is on my tbr for some time now), Dostoevski and Dickens. But all the others are fantastic too.

I want to read with you these books: Don Quixote, Demon, 2666, Buddenbrooks, and the Curiosity Shop. I have all these books on my to-read list. I am currently reading Alexandre Dumas "The Count of Monte Cristo". I would give this book 5 stars so far. It's a big book at 1243 pages. I am at page 300.

This is such a good idea! I really struggle to read longer books because they are more of a commitment, so definitely will be reading along! I voted for Don Quixote as it's been on my shelf for a long time

BBB is so cute! I've only read Quijote from this list, but I would love to see your review so it'd be fun if it got chosen, and I could reread parts of it since I already own it. I'm also interested in the Dostoyevsky, Dickens and Mishima, but really, I'm sure any book from the list would be a great read

Such a fabulous idea! Several of these I have also been intimidated by their length and appreciate the motivation to finally pick them up. Happy to read along with whatever is chosen as the first BBB selection.

I'll be reading along whichever books gets chosen. Great options! I voted for Don Quixote, but all of the books sound great, so I'll happily read whichever book on the list 🌸🌸🌸

I love this idea! Thanks for organizing this book club! I voted for Don Quixote and 2666 (since I couldn't choose and I could vote for both anyway). I'm looking forward to reading with you

U & ur B's. Fer instance, BB in 1984/Orwell stood for the malevolent Big Brother. Mwu ha ha. :-)
If ya wanna try a really big book, try In Search of Lost Time/Proust: 4100pg, or as long as the 7 vols. of the Harry Potter series. At 15pg per day, reading that book would take u mildly longer than the human gestation period, >9 mos.!
