As a long-time member of the Mexico TESOL (MEXTESOL) affiliate, I fully agree with Deena regarding the importance of belonging to and being actively involved in a professional teachers' association such as TESOL International or MEXTESOL. Besides working in Mexico to improve the teaching and learning of English in all educational settings, we collaborate in the Central American & Caribbean Basin TESOL Regional Group. The ultimate beneficiaries of our efforts, of course, are all of our students.
