I'm sorry but comparing rekkless and upset is like comparing a T rex with a new age Dog. Rekkless has been playing for a long time, in different metas than we currently have. Its clear that previously the adc role was play safe and be that backbone to a tf late game which rekkless was really good at and probably still is.

Currently we are seeing much more solo play making from adc's than before which rekkless seems to struggle with.

I can't really say much about upset honestly he has not proved himself to be one of the best in the world unlike rekkless (rekkless/hyli eg.).

I like both adc's and honestly its much more fun to watch upset play than rekkless but rekkless was a superstar adc and he deserved the title 100% in his prime. Plus its much more fun shit talking rekkless since alot of people get triggered.

The main takeaway is that Rekkles in LEC could not follow up to the success he had before LEC. Yet in that timespan he made back to back Worlds quarters, played back to back to back LEC finals and won an MVP. You can blame him for not beating the G2 dream team, even during their struggles in 2020. You can also make a point about the G2 2021 superteam failing miserably. You can even spin it in a way where Rekkles has always needed the best sololanes to win titles. Each are nuances discussion, but the main question remains: What has Upset achieved in comparison? An LEC final. No MVP, no international success (I will not count 2021 ofc), 10th place in a solid Origin lineup (I recon there were BTS issues), barely Worlds with THE superteam of 2022 (not even an LEC final), 10th place with this Vitality superteam. However you spin it, if you go by the "FACTS", Upset just looses. I'd like to see an in-depth eye-test comparison with actual gameplay sequences. In my opionion, the result would be same. Upset is just good.

-rekkles has 2 world quarters for lec. upset has 0(rekkles has more eulcs international results, including worlds finals. upset has 0 of those as well)
-rekkles is benched currently, upset is bellow top 8 in lec, probably wanting to be benched.

The comment about his play being 'Fraudulent for Super Star from the ADC position' is very misguided IMO and relies upon outdated notions about the game. ADCs have not been able to solo carry top-level games for a long time in this game. No matter how good *any* ADC looks in every meta since like after season 3, none of them 'did it alone' like you could way back in the day. The game has simply changed too much and there are too many tools/champions that prevent that from happening in most games now.

Old Uzi style worked to some degree in the distant past because 1.) Uzi was very good but mostly 2.) Which is that it was simply not as easy to shut down a fed AD back then. You just had to watch for a few key abilities and if you could *really* kite/space well you could run circles around inferior players. Nowadays there is just so much shit they can draft against you that just makes it completely unsafe to auto-attack.

What you want now is consistent damage from your ADC, and no matter what anyone will tell you about flashy plays or anything of the sort that's exactly how every ADC play begins. It starts with them being disciplined and piling on damage when safe, and as they break down the enemy team a little they create more space for themselves allowing them to be more aggressive, etc. Rekkles is like the king of this and always has been.

Your ADC just should *not* be the player sticking his ass out there trying to work miracles in the opening moments of a fight in modern league. Sure, rules like that don't apply hard and fast for every scenario, but generally speaking your ADC should not be 'play-making' in the same sense your mid/top/jungle/support should be. It's not just about damage, it's about the threat of damage being done and you can only be a threat if you keep yourself alive.

Too bad even both of them hadn't won any championship Rekless and Hyli was the best bot in the WORLD in their Worlds run to QF in 19/20
Too bad 19/20 Fnatic with Rekless and Hyli were infinitely better than what Fnatic with Upset and Hyli ever was

I don't even like Rekless at all but and like edgy takes but please stop overrating Upset and Larsen / trying to serve them like EU's best, especially Upset is even more of a selfish KDA player than Rekless. Rekless is a KDA player who doesn't require resources. Upset is a toxic KDA player who wants all the resources and still cannot carry any team to a meaningful spot.

I don't even understand the argument at this point. If the Pro players, analysts and casters overwhelming believe Upset is better, And the only people who say Rekkles is better are Rekkles fans, doesn't that already speak volumes?

Rekkles haters shitting on Rekkles any more now that he's role swapping is pointless. And Rekkles fans shitting on Upset only does Rekkles a disservice since Upset is a better player, so whatever shit talk you say you're putting Rekkles even further below that.
