It is honestly weird to see this song used in entirely two different ways in the show.

The first time is this that makes them look like huge jerks. Yet the second time, when he actually has a good reason to sing the song, makes him sound resolute and actually makes the song more positive.

It's just a cartoon.  But considering for a while The Stingers were living on the streets begging for change before becoming successful.  They would be nicer to orphans with no mothers or fathers...

hey it wasn't until Riot lifted his sunglasses at 0:03 seconds and you see a brief close up of his eyes that I noticed that he doesn't actually have dark brown eyes, but instead  his eyes are a *very* dark olive green.  That's a really neat detail!

I like how the Stingers more or less settle down as the series progresses...what was left of it, at any rate.

I prefer Riot over Rio.  Rio's got too short of a fuse and apparently commitment issues.  I'm a Sims 3 player and I currently have my Llewellyn family--Rory, Jerrica, and their daughter Jessica--in Starlight Shores.  :)  (Yeah, I gave him the Snob trait.)

This song was a lifeline for me and it remains an anthem of my life. I may have gotten where I am today without this song, but I'm sure the road would have been longer and tougher. I can't give the makes of the song enough praise and thanks.

It's like I always said, the Stingers were definitely more sophisticated, but more cruel than The Misfits. Compared to The Stingers, The Misfits are like kittens.🦋🌹🎶🐈

Mind you it was entirely unintentional with the heroes the vast majority of the time. Rio's abusiveness is only questioned once and no one calls out Jem with how she treats Kimber when she is feeling sad.

Riot if your chasing Jem you probably shouldn’t mistreat her band mates 🤣

The fact they'd rather pool water splash their hair than ruin the shot speaks a lot to their dedication as performers.

I've noticed some people keep throwing the nazi word and such about Stingers.
This tv show was probably the one of the few all inclusive ones on tv, you can even tell there had been gay characters, either as background designers or such.
Jerrica and Rio were in an interracial relationship, something very uncommon back then on tv, overall in cartoons. The characters weren't token minorities like they do in shows now at days, they really meant to include everybody.
For those who don't know Stingers background:

Riot was American and his father was a toxic male American soldier, they explained his background in one episode and the reason why he was an asshole to everyone. Riot wasn't even blonde (for those thinking he was German and therefore nazi?, talk about stereotypes!), his hair was brown even while playing in his band Nirvana, he changed his hair color later.

Minx was the one German and she was in love (or more like had an obsession) with Rio, who was brown Latino.

Rapture was also American but she met the band members in Germany.

I think that from the three characters the worst one was Rapture, scamming and conning people, elderly or poor.

Kimber was aware of the Stinger's bad behaviour against the orphans in Starlight Mansion because her, Aja, Shana and Raya met in a little reunion about it before Aja, Shana and Raya decided to go to the swimming-pool.
So I wonder why Kimber didn't intervene?
This was because of her love feelings for Riot or another thing?
I don't know ...
