Yes--$8000 was what my parents bought our family home, 3 bedrooms--1930. If we keep an eye on inflation --the price will stay--and we won't have to do this A house in Westford Ma. cost $12, 000 with 2 acres of land 8 rooms in 1950 + a barn!!!! INFLATION

There would be a lot of additional costs to get one of these set up and get a septic tank, etc.

This is a dream solution for much of the developing world where growing urbanisation prompted by fast urbanisation and industrialisation cause acute housing shortage, such as in South Korea where affordable living space is skyrocketing, and even in other less developed countries such as in India and Brazil where environmentally disasterous slum villages are expanding. As usual, Elon Musk is proving himself to be more than a money chasing businessman; he is also a compassionate innovator out to help solve the problem of universal problem of urban impoverished population. Elon Musk deserves a Nobel recognition for his contribution to solving poverty of human society. Keep on the good work.

I did a cost analysis and here is what I came up with: House is only 8, 000 but then you figure all the permits and the utilities and the time you have to go thru the hassels, it will take to get it set up the concrete slab is running 5, 000 By the end you are looking at around 75, 000
